CAN-BUS Resistor CBW1

HIGHSIDER smart CAN-BUS Resistor CBW1 with DIP switch.

Our newly developed HIGHSIDER smart CAN-BUS Resistor CBW1 is suitable for most vehicles with a CAN-BUS system.

The CBW1 resistor provides the necessary electrical load for your vehicle, which, when the DIP switches are correctly set, prevents error messages in the cockpit when using accessory turn signals.

In addition, fail-safety is provided. This means:
In the event of a failure of the accessory turn signals due to an electronic defect, an error message will be immediately displayed in the cockpit.

Up to 2 channels can be operated, such as left rear turn signal and right rear turn signal.
If 2 pairs of turn signals (front left, front right, rear left, rear right) are replaced, 2 x CBW1 units are required.

What requirements must be met for the use of the CBW1 on the vehicle:
Either:
LED turn signals were installed as original equipment on the vehicle.
Or:
The vehicle has a CAN-BUS system.

If neither of these conditions is met, the CBW1 cannot be installed (!), then we recommend the following resistors for the vehicle:
For turn signals with 21 watts
6.8 Ohm part number 207-025
or
10 Ohm part number 207-028

For turn signals with 10 watts
27 Ohm part number 207-020

The following resistance values can be set:
150 Ohm
170 Ohm
200 Ohm
240 Ohm
300 Ohm
400 Ohm
600 Ohm
1200 Ohm
